Mosaic Earth FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to register at Faces from Earth to be able to upload my portrait for Mosaic Earth?
No. All what you need to do is to choose carefully your picture, crop it to 200 x 200 pixels, go to the Upload page, fill in the fields and press the "Submit" button. Of course, we would be happy if you considered to register free at Faces from Earth.
I've joined the Mosaic Earth facebook group. Is my facebook profile picture then part of Mosaic Earth?
No. You must submit your portrait - which can of course be different from your facebook profile image - via our upload formular.
How can I make a 200 x 200 photo to upload?
With your photo software, picasa, flickr - but perhaps the easiest with the free online image Web Resizer - here is a step by step how-to:

Can I find my portrait in the mosaic and zoom in to it?
Currently not. But we are already checking the zoom-in functionality; this shall be available in the coming weeks.
Can I place my photo in a special place in the mosaic?
No. The mosaic will be built by the software, which is placing the building block images (tiles) - your portrait is a tile - in a way to get an optimal representation of the original image.
Can I upload the image of my favourite comic figure?
Sorry, no. This project is about real, living people. But the idea isn't that bad: do you have a good comic Blue Marble suggestion?
When will be Mosaic Earth finished?
I have read all the stuff here and still have a question.
Well, you might browse the Forum or just contact us.
